Hi, everyone! Nice to "meet" you. My first Jeep was a bright orange '78 CJ5. My second was a bright red (99?) Wrangler during college. After years of the practical car/SUV/bigger SUV and inevitable minivan progression, it was finally time to get another one to knock around in. I just found a 2000 Sahara (half doors) with 110K miles on it. I'm the 2nd owner. It was owned by a "navy guy" who - you guessed it - changed the oil every 3K miles, etc. No rot, drives solid...I had forgotten how much fun it is to drive a stick!

WOW. That us one nice TJ. I really like the color scheme. I'm not a fan of green. But man. That Jeep pops. The green and tan interior looks awesome.

Welcome to the site snukulu. And the best of luck with your new rig.

I can't get over that TJ. I've have not seen one that clean. What would really make it pop. Chrome. I know it an 80s look. But that shade of green....with the tan. Sweet.. Check out OFFGRID rig. It pops with the Chrome. Sweet Jeeps.

I bet a set of XD bronze wheels that they made in the 2000s for a couple years would look great. I think somebody else is making a bronze wheel now .

I'm in Huntington Station (on L.I.). I'm not a big fan of green, either. My first thought was, Can I paint it? But by the day after I bought it I loved the color. Only "modification" I'll be making soon is replacing the painted tailgate hinges with matte black. Only flaw in the whole thing is that the tailgate sags a little just from wear & tear (has always had stock tires, never been lifted). It locks fine if I hold it up a little by the spare when I close it but I don't want to leave it like that.

Yeah look at that. You knocked Billy1234 off the home page with that Emerald Green Beauty.

See Billy. You need to stay out of the mud.
