The jeep is a 2007 wrangler. The problem started with the on board alarm going off for no reason when the jeep was parked in my garage. I stopped the alarm by pushing the unlock button on my remote. Since then the alarm beeps at random. Sometimes once every minute or so, then it is quite for a long time.
(like when I'm at the dealer to get it fixed.)

Is it an after market alarm, or OEM system?

    It is OEM.
I had the recall on the clock spring implemented by my dealer and it did not fix the problem

man....I would start with disabling the alarm system. If that solves the issue, then you know that was the cause, and can go from there.

I don't know how to disable the alarm system without killing the horns. I did remove the left hand horn fuse (M23) and that did disable both horns as well as the alarm system.

The alarm system should have a fuse. If not, disconnect the positive wire powering it.

OK. I'll go look for a fuse or relay or wire. Thanks much. It will be tomorrow AM before I can get back to you.

What do ya need a horn for. Lol. In most cases I've found. It's either a cat, a deer, or some other animal ran out into my path, and froze. So I hit the horn. If some one runs a stop sign or a red light. What good is a horn gonna do ya. Lol. Stick your head out the window and scream at the stupid mother mocker for being a dumb ass behind the wheel. Because I can promise you. They were probably on their phone. My 2 cents. Lollll.
Holy crap. Did I just sound like jeep Mafia Mama Lisa there. :anonymous:. It's all good.lol.
    Just sayin. o_O.

Ok, my bad. Flip flop my quotes. Lol.

Well I could not find a way to disable the panic alarm without killing the horns. So, I pulled M23 again so I have no horn or panic alarm.
I agree with JKBOB 25 that I don't need either, but I just have to have all my stuff working correctly.:sadviolin:

Welcome! Generally something is triggering the alarm either via motion sensor or switch triggered. Assuming the alarm is defective or perhaps shorted or has a bad ground try to disconnect the alarm from the horn system so you can retain the horn function. You should be able to test-trigger the alarm by opening a door or hood etc. then try to shut if off. Maybe the dealer that serviced the clockspring could provide a wiring diagram for the OEM alarm system. Just throwing some ideas out there.

I'm the same way dude. Even if i'll never use something. I still want it to work. My OCD, I guess.
Hell yeah I got you pegged mafia mama Lisa. Na, I don't know you. But we are some what alIke. I just don't yell, and scream any more. Not worth using my time and energy on a moron.

And oh by the way. You say some thing like "don't amuse yourself in front of the police." Did you really think I would leave it alone. :jerkoff:. Apparently....you don't know me. Lol. So how would you know about amusing yourself in front of cops? Have Personal first hand experience do we??? So we're you in your Jeep....at the park??? No, not in a dressing room at Macy's. You know Security Guards aren't real cops. You should've have run. Lolll.:notsure:
