    hello everyone!
I have 1993 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L base model manual transmission so nothing really special about it .i recently have been going through u-joints due to my jeeps rear axle being off by about 3". I recently had my suspension replace (within the last 2 years) I did the suspension lift at home and I've never had experience with a lift kit other then that when I put it together it was fine I couldn't tell if there were problems with the lift .the bushings aren't looking good now and the rear axle seems to be getting worse ,and more and more off the more I drive it .which is probably the cause other problems in my jeep like violent vibrations in any gear and going thru u-joints on my drive line at least once a week if its driven.

-plz help I don't know what to do I'm lost and I'm looking for a direction to go in any form of guidance would be helpful thank you for taking the time to read this

Welcome to the group. It sounds like your drive angles are the issue. When vehicles are lifted the angle between the output shaft and the rearend yoke change.

When you say your axle is off by 3", do you mean to the left or right? (yes, this seems like a strange question even to me but I need to understand.) Or are you indicating that your angle on the axle (as it relates to the drive shaft) is off by 3"? The truth is if either of these is off and "getting worse" you should not be driving this at all as something is massively worn or is loose. You say the bushings are bad. Do you mean the spring bushings? Are your

    Ok...some wild guesses here.

Did you adjust the angle of your axle? From what I can tell, all 4" RE lift kits come with adjustment shims for adjusting axle/driveshaft angle. Are they still in place? U-bots Tight? Spring shackles tight?

In general, I suggest you go over every single bolt and nut and check that they are torqued properly and that everything (like the adjustment shims) are in place.

A further description of the issue would help.

I have not been drivin the car. The rear end is off to the right 3". I did used degree shims under the axle so the driveline is at the correct angle for the lift kit. the bushing look like there being pitched off on the ends .I loosed and re-torqued the nuts and bolts on the shackles and the U-bolts and the bolts that mount the leaf springs to the frame I looked at the shocks and re torqued them also the degree shims are in place and aren't damaged.( I'm gonna post photos of the bushings and the rear end of Both the left side and the right side because there is a noticeable difference)

Well, it does look like new shackle/spring bushings are in your future. However, that is not going to be the real issue here. Did you leave your rear track bar on when you did the lift??

I would understand the shackles and bushing needing to be replaced. I haven't done a lift kit b4 this one so The rear track bar If I got one then it was left on which I don't know if I have one or not I don't know a whole lot about the suspension on my jeep

The track bar still being on would explain all of this. For a Rubicon Express 4 inch lift, the directions say specifically to remove it and NOT put it back on. If it is still there, when you lifted the jeep, it would pull the axle to the side. The higher the lift, the further out of center the axle would be. Sound familiar?

Of course, I don't know exactly which lift you got but here are the directions for the Rubicon Express RE5515 4.0” YJ STANDARD LEAF SPRING LIFT KIT

    http://www.quadratec.com/sites/default/files/installation_instructions/42016.pdf

Check out page 1, right-hand column under "REAR". Line 24 says: "Remove rear track bar. This will not be reused."

Have a looksie....that would explain EVERYTHING.

    Good luck!!!

No...I don't think YOUR the kit would have come with a track bar. I may be wrong. Those are on the Jeep from the factory. HOWEVER, putting on SOME kits REQUIRE you to REMOVE the factory rear track bar. Some kits will have a longer replacement and or a new trackbar tower. but I am "assuming" yours did not. If yours was suppose to have it removed and you did not---there is the issue. If your kit required a new longer version and you left the original...there is the issue. lol :)

The red item is a track bar (may not look like yours).

    Yours looks like.

I did not see a track bar in any of the photos....you would have to take pics of your rear axle. a track bar will connect to your axle on one side and then the bar will go up and attack to the frame or a bracket on the other.

The rubber bushings have a memery when pinched. When you install the new ones your suspension should line up. This should also fix your ujoint problem. Rubicon makes a great YJ lift kit. Great Call Richard. I forget that YJs have track bars. My CJ never had one.

I don't run trac bars nor sway bar..
Rolls a little more in turns but no issues...

My stuff stays disconnected too. I'm too lazy to fight with the swaybar disconnects. They don't make any cool ones like the teraflex disconnects for the JK.
