Sahara rim and tire suggestions

    Hey I'm new to the jeep game. I have a Sahara and it's the steel blue metallic. I want ppl feedback on it. What size rims and tires are everyone running any good deals that won't break ur pocket for that or. Can I put 35x12.50 on my stock 18x7.5 rims. Or should I run like 33x12.50 tires on a 2.5" lift

    I'm running 33's on my OEM wheels. No lift until recently.

    2.5" AEV Dual Sport lift, 35" Treadwright Guard Dogs, Black Rock Wheels, AEV Front & Rear Bumpers with Tire Carrier, Fuel Caddy 10 gal. Aux. fuel tank, Warn 9.5ti, 125' synthetic winch line, front axle skid, 20" LED light bar , Bilstein Shocks, steel steering skidplate,
    You "can" put 35" tires on stock rims. HOWEVER, they will not work on a rig without a lift of at least 2.5", and/or with either wheel spacers or wheels with the correct backspace.

    You can go to those 35" tires with a 2.5" lift. But, to answer your question: You can put 33" tires on with a very modest lift (think 1.5" budget boost type). (NOTE: They will fit without the lift but will rub HARD, on your fenders, when the suspension is flexed.) On the stock wheels, without wheel spacers, you will get a bit of rub with 33s between the tire and the swaybar at full turn, with or without a lift. This is not a big deal.

    What year is your Sahara. It makes a big difference in the size of tire you can run. The new Sahara can run a much bigger tire than the older one in both the stock and lifted form.
