The worst part of all of it is that I now have a YJ that in parts and paint (no labor costs) I have spent at least $15k building including the purchase price of $1500, and I will be lucky to get $9k for it. It needed a lot more than I thought when I bought it.

What up yall, I was able to do a little work on the jeep this past weekend, thank God. I replaces the trans stabilizer bolt, I think thats what its called and while I was doing that I went on a head and took off the entire skid plate. I was trying to find the exact location of my leak. From what it looks like its seeping out from just above the bottom trans mount. In one of the pics I circled what looks like an area where a bolt is missing. can anyone confirm this.

I also added a few missing bolts in both the driver and passenger seat lol

    Thanks.

I do believe there should be a bolt stud and bolt there. Can you feel a hole?

I sold my YJ last week, but as it happens he brought it back today cause he already has the bug. He wants me to make some changes to it for him. I will try to remember to look tomorrow. The picture you posted in the area of the red circle it does look like it needs a stud and nut there.

It finally stopped raining so I was able to fix the glove box. I couldn't sleep at night because this broken lid bothered me so much! lol I dont know if I like the chrome screws showing so I may paint them.

Let me know what yall think and what yall have done to fix your glove box.

Good job on the glove box lid repair. Did you consider using rivets or round head bolts for a smoother surface?

I almost did rivets but I didn't know if the pressure from squeezing the rivet tool would cause the plastic to crack so I went with what I though was safer. I also thought about bolt head but I couldn't find the size I needed so I ended up with Phillips head.

3 inch zone lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Bushwacker flat fenders. No name steel bumpers front and back for now.
The expansion from rivets is not nice to plastic. I would take the screws out and paint them black to match. Shove the screw thru some cardboard so the head of the screws is showing and hit them with a quick shot of paint and you're good to go.

Okay, finally got a look at my YJ here at the shop. It's hard to tell from your angle exactly where youre taking that picture, but everywhere there is a spheriecal ridge along the Tcase there should be a stud and nut. I believe that is what you have circled.

I took the picture directly under the trans. Maybe a little towards the rear just past the skid plate mount. Can you tank any pics by chance? Thanks

Finally had sometime to build a security box for the rear area of the Jeep. I think it came out pretty good. Just need to do some finish work on it. what do yall think?

Great job and looks as good as the aftermarket units! Consider using some door edge guard strips on the edges?
