They are marketed for classic cars but are 7" and should fit our jeeps. Just wondering if anyone has seen them before I pull the trigger. Thanks.

Any advantage over LEDs? My concern with LEDs is potential icing on winter snow days. A solution I'm using are an old pair of halogen auxiliary lights up front.

From what I've read it appears HID is superior to LED in most aspects. LED does produce less heat but I've read there are LEDs with heating lenses to melt ice. HIDs do not require heating lenses as they produce sufficient heat already. There are a few things that have me sold on HIDs. Besides being brighter and are able throw the light farther and more evenly spread out over a wider area than LEDs, I can also use a 4300k bulb, and this brand uses a glass lens. I don't like the white LED light and 4300k is close to halogen warmth. And the glass lens will look clear forever and ever.

LEDs are the rage due to the poor output from the OEM glow beams and plug+play-ability. The HID glass and output advantages are positives. Tired of dealing with fogged cataract OEM plastic lenses that are standard issue on nearly all new vehicles. Just might have to put a bit more effort in plug adapters or other connectivity issues when converting to HIDs.

I'd like to se pictures of the Cut Off of the light. More light is nice, but not at the expense of blinding on coming drivers.

Well I decided to pull the trigger on them. Also added some HID fog lights with 3000k bulb. I'll post some pics of the headlights so you can see the cutoff.

I swapped my standard To LEDs on headlights n fog lights for $120 total. Much cheaper then HIDs. I’ll try to post the output pic comparison later.

That's what I did. Im running Quadratec headlights, and JW Speaker Fogs. Might switch out my headlights to the JW's or the KC Pro headlights.

Here is the output comparison on the standard headlights and LED headlights. Only had headlights low beam on for both pics.

I have the worst luck ever. Headlights got here from hidupgrades.com and they don't fit. And the ad clearly lied as the lens is plastic, not glass as advertised.

I had more bad luck in that the hid fog lights I got from hidprojectors.com were missing parts and constructed using tape and silicon. And let me tell you they were pricey even more than OEM replacements.

So there you guys have it. Learn from my mistake and stay away from these sites.

And it's not like I was wanting to buy cheap Chinese equipment. I paid almost $900 and both lights are 'assembled in the USA.'

Both of these places suck ass guys spread the word. Now to see what they tell me tomorrow. I just want my money back.

Wow! Hope they do the right thing as they clearly had a misleading ad for HIDs

I have the factory LED on the wife's '18 JK and the Procomp on my '14. Both have VERY good cut off lines as to not blind oncoming traffic.

I love my JWs. Considered buying Quadratecs LEDs and several other brands. But I figured if I'm gonna spend that kinda money, especially on headlights. I'm gonna spend the extra cash and get the good stuff. And do not regret that decision.

It's a shame how some people are easily duped by others. It appears everyone that read this guy's post, about crappy, expensive HID headlights that didn't fit his Jeep, believed him...

I am the owner of HIDupgrades.com. EVERYTHING this guy has posted about my HID upgrade kit and it's costs is a lie. My headlights absolutely DO NOT have plastic lenses. They are glass! And they don't cost $900! And I have a 9-page headlight guide (that's right in your face) that clearly states my kit only fits various Jeep models from 1996 - 2006.

This guy obviously didn't read my guide. If he would have, he would have known if they would fit. Actually, this guy called me "after" placing an order and asked for me to substitute 4300K bulbs instead of the 6000K bulbs that I sell with the kit. But there is no option for different bulbs. We clearly state what's in our kit online. We sell 6000K H1 HID bulbs with our kit and if someone wants something else maybe they should choose a different kit or buy different bulbs themselves.

We don't try to be everything to everyone. We have chosen all of our kit parts for reasons we like and that's our prerogative to sell an upgrade kit with parts of our choosing. We sell a high-quality HID kit, nothing is misrepresented and we expect customers to read our guide before ordering and to get in contact with us before ordering if they have any questions. It's true we don't offer refunds, and it's also (right in your face) at checkout!

And this guy didn't read anything and didn't contact us before ordering! And now, members of this forum have formed opinions based on lies about my kit and it's quality. This is one of the things I hate about the Internet. How people can make up a bunch of lies and trash people's reputation or their company, or products. And that's exactly what's been done here. I'm not going to go on and on, with replies to this post. I'm too busy to do that.

Now that I've stated the facts, members will just have to draw their own conclusions. This makes me remember that old saying:
"You can please all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time. But NOT all of the people, all of the time."

Pretty clear to me that the hidupgrades.com 7" hid kit (only thing they sell) doesnt fit a 2014 Jeep Wrangler.

Nice to hear your story about HID upgrade kits and your company. The internet and this forum can be a good medium to let jeepers know about your products, your innovation, design and reputation. Your response and business model differs somewhat from mine and hope you would check in the forum occasionally to inform us about some of your latest products as you know Jeeps have a strong aftermarket parts market.
