Is this a good start for basic trail riding?

Hi! I am new to this and I am looking to buy my first jeep. I want to hit the trails in Colorado without doing any mods... just basic trail riding. Then down the line I will add things. So is a 2015 Rubicon with 45,000 miles for $25,000 a good deal. I have been researching and feel like a rubi is the best way to start, due to lockers and beefier stuff underneath. Any and all opinions and sugestions... I would appreciate from all of you who are the experts! Thank you!

3 inch zone lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Bushwacker flat fenders. No name steel bumpers front and back for now.
Seems like a pretty sweet deal to me.

Welcome! Rubi is a good place to start although other Wranglers are quite capable for challenging trails, sand or mud. Consider getting the jeep checked out mechanically. Consider a off-roading 101 course and/or join a local jeep club. Post up some pics and keep us informed of your adventures.

    Welcome to the forum.
As far as the Rubi and purchase price. I can't say if it's a good deal or not. I'm sure depending on where you are in the country. Prices vary. I picked up my 16 Sport with just over 4k on the odometer for 24k out the door. Let's us know of your decision.
Don't forget to post up pics. :)

    Welcome Steelygirl.
    Sorry I can't help you, I drive a station wagon...errr...Cherokee.

You might like the Jeep Talk Show. One of the host is a female, Tammy Jeep Momma and she has had a couple of JK Wranglers with her current one being a Rubicon. She was pretty green to Jeeps and off roading when she started too.

Check blue book and local ads on Craigslist to find out what the prices are in your market, the Jeep market Varys drastically throughout the country.

Hi. That price seems pretty good especially for the low mileage. Off-road magazine states that the rubi in both TJ and JK years is the most capable offroad rig in stock form ever made. Sounds like you have a plan.

Off road magazine has never been in a Mercedes 4x4 squared.

At the time the article was written Squared was not available, and at a quarter million USD I'm not sure you can put them in the same category, and is it really stock? When Bombardier came out with the Seadoo RXP I tried to cast it off as a stock ski at my race events and race it in the stock class. My argument was that even though it was a full blown built race ski, it did come from the factory like that; I was vehemently denied. . . You can use the same argument I did, and see if others agree with you. That being said the Squared is an amazing piece of machinery.
