92 XJ RUNS ROUGH AND DIES SOON AFTER START

    rattle canned it primer grey(black rims) e3 spark plugs
    i BOUGHT MY 92 XJ BONE STOCK FOR 600$ DROVE IT HOME WITH VERY VERY LIGHT BRAKES.pulled the rear brakes off and they fell apart springs and all.replaced full brakes.everything. engine ran fine for having 300,000 miles on it. valve cover gasket was leaking oil so i replaced it and now it wont idle?? i didnt drop any gasket in the head i cleaned the surfaces very well dont know what could possibly have went wrong?? wants to try and idle and 300 maybe?? 500?? dies in about ten seconds. no ide what went wrong its my first jeep im a chevy guy but recently destroyed my truckand bout this

    any help would be appricieted thx

    Sounds like a sensor got unplugged when you removed the valve cover. I'd look around for anything loose and try and plug it back in.

    i looked around for any plugs loose or just unplugged and didnt find anything

    Look around the throttle body and see if there's any connections that aren't plugged in. It could also be a vacuum line that's cracked, broken, or unplugged.

    im not sure what it is but in the firewall on the driver side theres this white plastic piece that looks like it has to do with electricals. it has a little hose on the left side that leads to nothing?

    i turned the key over three times and got coed 12 13 and 24 what are they ??

    Positive battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 Key-on cycles.

    13

    No difference recognized between the engine MAP reading and the barometric (atmosphere) pressure reading from start-up.

    14

    MAP sensor input above or below acceptable voltage. 5 volt output to MAP sensor open.

    i found out why its doesnt idle. on the firewall its black not white it has a hose on its left side that connects to the intake manifold its cut in half taped it together and it idles just fine but im still throwing out codes.
    more codes than th eusual bull it throws out. (owned by tweekers before me so everything is sccrewed up.)
