Anyone have any good suggestions for a winter or all season tire? I am currently new to the Jeep life and the Jeep I bought was a 2010 Jeep wrangler unlimited sport. is has a 3in. lift and 18in. Rims. currently wrapped with 295/70R18 Nitto trail grapples. and I felt like I was ice skating yesterday in the snow. any suggestions for the winter months?

Welcome from sunny Arizona, where I don't even know what snow looks like, so I have no input.:bikewheelie:

BFG All Terrain KO2 is a very good snow tire. A good all around tire that will do most anything but mud.

I was looking at the Nitto Terra grappler G2 and or some Toyo Open country a/t ll. I am looking to keep the same tire size and they seem to have some good reviews all around and I know the smaller the footprint would probably be better but I like the big meaty look

Hello Nick. If you are looking for a good off-road tire that may do OK in the snow, then the suggested KO2s may work. However, if you are really looking for better tires for pavement on snow covered and icy roads, your idea of looking into AT type rubber will treat you better. I off-road year round so I am on MTs all year and I am not on pavement all that much. When I was traveling long distances a few years back I wanted great winter highway shoes and ran ATs. Maybe take a loot at the Cooper ST ut your other mentioned tires are not bad either.

    Good luck.

This has been my experience with them as well. They'll do everything BUT mud.

Update:::: I have went with the Nitto Terra grappler G2 and I have he made them on a little over a week now and they are preforming amazingly. I did keep my 2 good tires that were on it and will be picking up 2 more to match them and my spare for my badlands trip next summer and will be looking. For some take offs for next winter hopefully. Thank you for all the input and I have looked into your tire suggestions and will definitely keep them in mind for years to come when needing tires.
