    Good afternoon!
I am curious if the shocks and springs from a 2013 Wrangler Sport will bolt up to my 93’ Grand Cherokee? I am going to put a lift on it eventually, but just put new tires on the factory wheels before I knew about the problem and found a great deal on the suspension from the 13’. I have an occasional death wobble (I’ve checked all the front end components and the only thing worn are the shocks and seats for them if that’s what they’re called. So, I thought if the suspension from the 13’ would bolt up it might fix my problem and allow me to run these new tires until I’m more prepared to drop the loot on the aftermarket lift/wheels/tires. Thanks in advanced for any suggestions!

Welcome @Randomjeeps ! Interesting question about parts interchangeability. Other than having the parts-in-hand to compare that information could be tough to obtain. Start doing some basic measurements of the shock lengths, spring diameters and spring length before putting out money on that "great deal" that might not pan out. My recommendation is to buy the correct lift for the GC and get it done right the first time. Throwing questionable parts onto a GC with DW ain't the way.

Member of any local Jeep groups? You can often find left overs from when someone lifts their JK. If you can get them for free you see what fits and if nothing works out you aren't out any money. I got springs, shocks, control arms, brake lines, and sway bar links for free.
I ended up using the longer brake lines on my 93 XJ Cherokee with a 4.5" lift and they have room to spare. I could have used one set of the control arms and that was originally my plan but I went with a good set of tubular control arms instead.
The shocks would have worked on my XJ as well if I had stayed at around 2"of lift. They should work on your ZJ but you will likely have to remove one of the bar pins from two of the shocks.
TJ springs on a XJ actually lower it so JK springs on a ZJ may do the same.
I see a lot of speculation on the forums regarding this subject but not really any factual info, hopefully you can get your hands on the stuff and give it a go and post it up here for the rest of the World to find.

Thanks so much you guys for the feedback!

@aggrex I understand and agree throwing parts at it is not my intention at all hence my question here. The good deal is $40.00 for all of it which I thought was great especially if it would cure my problem and save dropping $600.00 for the lift plus I don’t know what yet on wheels/tires just for the moment.

@Prerunner1982 That’s a great idea, but no, not yet a part of any group. At that price I may just bite and like you said post the findings of “The experiment”. Do you know what the seats or bushings are called that the shocks run through? Are they just for dust containment to the engine bay? I will definitely need to find those even if I go this route. Thanks again!

Welcome to the forum @Randomjeeps. Some great advice given up top from a couple knowledgeable members. And I agree with both. Although $40 sounds like a great deal on the shocks and springs. If they don't fit or create a bigger issue than your death wobble. It's not money well spent.
Also just my 3 cents. 9 times out of 10. Death Wobble is an issue with a steering component. Tie rod, drag link, track bar, and or ball joints with includes all bushings. I myself would double check all bushings and end connections.
Another thought. "Death wobble" . What exactly are you experiencing?

@JKBob 25 Thanks and I agree and am going to do just that before I decide on anything. So far, the best I can tell it only seems to happen at or above around 45mph, and it’s not isolated to while I’m in a turn. It seems to be set off by a bump in the road which is what I guess would initiate a DW anyways. I’m still trying to pin point it. I either back off the accelerator or tap the brakes and it seems to fade.

@TJ_abuser Thank you sir! What’s DFW?

@Prerunner1982 Yes Sir! I’m sure those are the ones, thanks for the link. Once I get a chance (maybe next weekend), I’ll get in there and see what else I can find out.

Have fun out there fellas with whatever you do and thanks again!
