I've had my JK for 2 weeks. I get about 15% of other Jeeps waving back. Much lower than expected. Is 15% about normal nationwide?

That's more than I get from the JKs. Ehh it's whatever, I might wave.... I might not. Don't care anymore.

Hummm....15%. Kinda low. Is that just Wranglers? Or are ya counting all Jeep brand vehicles?
Wranglers only here where I live and neighboring states I drive in. It's about 80% or better.

Plenty of waves during my DD work commute. I'm in a big college town with plenty of jeeps. Some of the 4-dr JKUs have attracted mall crawlers and peeps that don't get the jeep wave thing but they all get waves from me. Wave first...worry about it later

Around here it’s just Wranglers but it’s about 30%.

TJs, YJs, and CJs are pretty consistent wavers. Many JKUs (and JLs) seem to be driven by soccer moms and men playing offroad dress up and for them its just a cool square SUV.

We dont get a whole lot of jeep waves where we live. Mainly the people who have done some mods and understand the jeep wave partake in the wave action. The stock jeep drivers we might get a wave from a couple but the majority doesnt wave

Too many around here ... lots of JLs or JKUs do not wave, though, JKs usually do,
the older models usually do, only when they think they are the only “real” Jeeps, they do not wave.

Arrogance and envy do exist everywhere .. also in the Jeep World.

    I DO wave.

I find myself waving at Jeeps, even if I’m in my truck.

Tons of Wranglers in Arizona. I’ve noticed that most CJ, YJ, TJ, and 2 door JK owners wave while almost no JKU’s do unless they are modded, in which case most wave. That seems to hold true with the JL as well. I also get the wave occasionally from highly modified XJ’s and reciprocate.

I owned an XJ for 13 plus years. It was my intro into Jeeps. I loved that XJ. I had over 199k miles on it when I traded it in for my JK. So I have a soft spot in my heart for XJs. And I have been known to wave to XJs. But one day driving to my girlfriends. I passed a lowered....yes. Lowered XJ with low profile tires. And as I passed him. He waved. I was so taken back...I honestly wasn't sure what I was looking at. And I almost waved. Only cuz I wasn't sure it was a Jeep. o_O.

But I always wave, as my girlfriend does. Even if she's riding shot gun. Yeah...shes awesome like that. Keeping the tradition alive.
