Belt idler pulley issue

    I have a 2001 tj to make a long story short the 0331 head cracked and I dropped in a 650 head out of a 1999 the issue is the 650 doesn't have the bolt hole for the idler pulley is there a way to reroute the belt or a aftermarket bracket the would resolve this

    Kyle1991- I have the same issue. Did you ever find a bracket or a different routing for the belt. What did you end up doing?

    If there is solid iron in the location where you need a threaded hole, you could put your own hole in. If you are concerned about the thread depth, it just needs to be the depth of the diameter of the thread. Starting with a standard tap then finish with a bottoming tap should keep the hole to a minimum depth. I would suggest researching this out though.

    Keep trying to figure something out and maybe you will come up with something. I am sure there are a number of guys that had the same issue.
