Hey everyone, new to the TJ world......
I have an opportuniy to buy a 2000 TJ at a pretty decent price, it seems pretty clean. However i have read there are alot of frame rot issues.
Should i move forward with purchase?
What, where and how should i check for these rust issues? (Sounds like it rots from the inside out)
Sorry for the ignorance, but i dont want to do this blindly and wanted to ask for experienced help.
    Thanks,
    Terry

If the frame is good and drives good 4w is good doesn’t sound like a bad deal

Welcome @Jeepnewbie ....spend some time inspecting the TJ frame>body. Surface rust is usually fine but anything more extensive could be a concern. Trouble spots seem to be where the t/c skid attaches to frame and rear areas of the frame. Post some pics of any suspected rust areas for further internet evaluation.
