Jeep broke down again. Same related problems - engine light blinking on and then staying constant. Feels like no gas is getting to the engine...would be my guess. Or maybe no spark. It’s sputtering and the situation happened again after driving about 100 miles. Barely went up a hill when trying to get it back home. Ideas and thoughts gentlemen and gentlewomen...

Went back to read this post and your used car purchase is starting to become LEMON worthy. Start looking at legal measures etc

I agree with @aggrex. Talk to a lawyer and file a claim. I wouldn't even bother with trying to get it fixed until you hear what the lawyer says. I'd do this ASAP

The blinking engine light is a misfire. And based on what you posted. The fact that it went solid. Is not good. So....
I'm with them. Get a free consult. File a claim.....

So today I called for an update. The Service Manager said that they took it out and it seemed to be running fine. So he had one of his guys take it for as long of a drive as possible and apparently it did start acting up again. So then the service manager took it out and drove it 10 miles and he also said he noticed the problem. He was waiting to get it back on the rack for diagnostics.

I’m wondering if it has something to do with the fuel and something with hills. I’m curious if the slight hill in my driveway makes any difference. I read something about a leveler or something resetting after a car is on flat ground. I forgot what it’s called. I don’t want to throw anyone off....any ideas on what’s going on here???

I wouldn’t want to do that - I expect the Dealership to make good on the repairs and pay me back for the fixes that were not necessary. I also don’t know if a lawyer is wise because How Much is that going to cost? Right now the original GM Dealership has paid all the cost upfront and I’m supposedly supposed to split the bill with them. Their claim is that it is a Used Car and Sold As is and technical they are not responsible for anything. It sounds great what some are suggesting - but every state varies on the laws...correct? This is Alabama if any lawyers want to chime in on my situation...which is buying a 2011 Jeep with 90,000 miles Used As Is from a GM Dealership.

It’s my only vehicle - what is one supposed to do. That sounds good if you have many more vehicles or other options...

Yea that's gonna make it tough. I'm not sure what else you can do my man. I think we're all stressed about the dealer not getting you taken care of lol.

Have you come up with a game plan to get it back from them?? I hope to jesus they don't charge you for labor and parts after they've had your ride for 9 weeks

I woulda had it towed....or dragged it outta there by hand by now. Dude @Jrgabriel ...they obviously have no idea what their doing. I'd get it back, home by any means possible. And regroup. Call around to local shops. NOT dealerships. Some times you can find a local shop, with a very knowledgeable mechanic who knows his shit. Good luck dude. We are pullin for ya.

I am hoping they are going to cover their mistake - the only reason I had it towed back there is because they already have some $2,800 of money that was supposed to fix all this. Plus now I have a loaner from them. This is my only car - I cannot just have it towed back here and loose the loaner. Game plan is to see what they do to fix this. If they do not have it fixed on this time around - I will definitely be seeking my money back before I bring it somewhere else.

Here is a question...what happens if I go to pick up the car and I refuse to pay them if they try and charge me any more. I can demand my keys and take my car right...?

Yeap. After 9 weeks of those monkeys trying to F**k the sh*t out of that football they should have no right to not hand over your keys and let you walk clean and clear. I'd take my spare set of keys with me just in case and steal my shit back if I had to. F**k them.
