Oil pump going bad?

    So befor I get in to it. Yes the jeep is stock besides a 3 inch lift everything on the drivetrain is STOCK. No lights on at all. so now that the normal questions are 9ut of the way. While Driving the oil pressure drops to below 10 psi. Sitting at a light it goes back to 40psi. When I hit the gas in ANY gear it drops to almost nothing. Could this be the pump going bad or what's going on?

    That does seem backwards, usually lower at idle than under acceleration.
    If you go in there for the pump you might as well check the bearings and replace the rear main seal.

    AS MENTIONED THAT SOUNDS 'BACKWARD' HAVING HIGHER PRESSURE AT IDLE - TYPO ?
    PUT A MECHANICAL GAUGE ON THE ENGINE TO CHECK TRUE PRESSURE.
    THEN LET US KNOW.

    Yes, check it with a mechanical gauge. A temporary installation if you don't like the stupid thing in your vehicle.

    Bad ground connections can always be an issue, it can't hurt to put in a few extra. The ground should be wired directly to the battery negative terminal.
