I want to replace my pan with one that has a drain plug already installed. I'm doing searches online and I'm a little lost... I have a 46rh in my 93 ZJ with a 5.2 liter engine but all the auto parts stores websites are saying that the 42re fits my 93 ZJ. I know for a fact that I have a 46rh and they have one that fits the 46rh only in the specifications it doesn't list my year or my make, just dodges with 5.9 or 5.2 liter engines... I mean Jeep and Dodge or both Mopar so I would assume that if it fits the Dodge 46rh then it'll fit my Jeep 46rh, right? The pan im referring to use is the Dorman 265-827

I know (i think) I told you about these V8 jeeps, they are a one off and the part store issue shows what I mean - they default to a 42RE and 4.0L I6...

You are right look at a dodge and the parts are covered.

BUT I gotta ask. we (royal we) are prioritizing work, deferring items, looking in junk yards to save money, walking to the store for O rings so as not buy a component,
NOW you want to buy a NEW $$$ trans pan AFTER you have changed filter and fluid ?

No I haven't change the filter and the fluid yet, I'm wanting to put this pan on when I do so that way if I need to change the fluid again, I won't have to remove the oil pan and just use the drain plug. The new pan is only $24 and I'm also buying a CV axle. They should be in my next payday and at that time I can buy some fluid and do both of these jobs (fluid, filter, pan, and CV axle). I moved jobs and only have three days on this check plus child support hitting me on the head, so today's paycheck doesn't look that good but good enough to get the CV axle and pan... I'm trying here LOL SMH

24$ for a new pan with drain - I am surprised!!! hopefully shipping and 'handling' wont ruin the good deal.

Lets get the out side work done and we can do the interior things over the colder season.

Yes sir, the cold season is already starting to make its way in here in Tulsa Oklahoma. I just wish I had a close garage to work on it during the winter but people in Hell want ice water...
