After doing some more research, do you think my problem could be a bad vicious coupler in the 249 transfer case ? I know it could be expensive, but wouldn't that be easier to buy that and replace that part rather than to pull and replace my whole transfer case ?

Bad control arm bushings could allow the caster of the front axle to change under load..... could that damage your front driveshaft?... I don't know.
Your driver side bushing looks out of wack.

Doubt the "wrong" front axle was swapped in. I could put a ZJ Dana 30 in my XJ (it would bolt right in, but not that I would want to since it's a low pinion) and it would work just fine. I am using a 99 XJ Dana 30 in my 93 XJ. But like you I am not finding much info regarding the difference between in front driveshafts. I have seen references to driving without a front driveshaft could damage the VC.

Sounds like my next focus is the front suspension...

I'm wanting to put in another front driveshaft in but I'm afraid of it breaking on me again... Never figured out the cause of the other 2 breaking..

Oh whats another shaft again? Whats the history on the first two shafts? Used parts? Perhaps you will have better luck this time.

Not sure why the first two broke. I got a video of the second one bending as I'm going through gears. They always seem to break on the CV end that attaches to the front axle. But you're right, maybe I should pull one from the scrap yard and take it to our local driveshaft shop to have it balanced and things
