image.jpg A notification popped up that said some apps are unavailable, and all apps from Assist to App Manager are grayed out and won’t open. We just got the Jeep last Saturday so everything is set to default.

Welcome @Xyskii ....local dealer is your best bet to resolve any uConnect issues. They have the means to download/upload/reload the software unless its hardware related

I have the exact same issue with my 2020 with the 8.4" Uconnect. It's harder to tell in my picture, but the same apps are grayed out.

Your post is the only one I could find on the whole internet with the same issue. Any chance it's been resolved? I've tried a setting reset to no avail. I've tried to do a full factory reset but the various YouTube tutorials (press upper right corner of screen, hold up and down temp buttons at the same time, etc.) haven't worked.

Welcome @Xyskii And @ChimpanZed . You guys both have the same issue, and newer Jeeps. As suggested above. Dealership is your best bet to resolve these issues. Most likely, my guess. The apps not available. You have to download and or buy for them to function. Again. Check with Dealership and post up here your fixes. Could help others in the future. :jeepwave:

Thanks, JKBob. The challenge is that the App Manager (I think that’s what it’s called) and the Marketplace icons are also grayed out

As mentioned the dealer has the software to load/reload/update your display issues plus your new JL has the FCA warranty. Going anywhere else could be asking for trouble.

p.s.: read if you miss too many jeep payments they tend to grey out the apps making you come in for service to confiscate the Jeep

Most likey. What is active. Is part of the free version of your Jeep. Hence why apps are grayed out. I would definitely check out what the dealership has to say. ALSO....Check out your manual. There may be a site you can check out and get your shit you want.
When i bought my 16 JK. It came with Sirus XM free for 6 months. But in the manual. There was a site that I could check out, and get it.....with a subscription of coarse.

This is a software problem. Manual doesn't help. Others have brought their Jeeps to dealers for this issue and have not had it resolved. Grayed-out apps do not correlate to any subscribed-to or subscribable services.

2020 owners across the FCA family are now reporting this issue in droves. This is an FCA screw-up on their newest models.

That's good to know about the JLs ....2018 frame welds , 2019 DW+new steering damper, 2020 software, maybe I'll sit on the sidelines a bit longer for the JLs to work out the kinks

They been very shiny. Jeep has been parked for about a week now. Waiting on new wheel speed sensors and a new front passenger wheel hub. I'm pretty sure that's why my dash looks like a xmas tree lol. Hopefully I'll get it back to being road worthy by the weekend.

I don’t know how, but the problem has been fixed. I assume FCA issued an over the air update to resolve this.
