Frustrating but just keep in mind any late model vehicle, jeep or not, will be much more complicated than your '97 XJ to diagnose the integrated electronic systems should problems occur.

Your XJ has been a challenge, I’ll say that!

    What’s this new “wiring issue”?

Have you tried one of the wiring diagrams that can be found on the net or one that can be purchased from a repair manual? How about a description of your issue?

Ok so I havent really worked on it in a week or 2. Been way to cold and snowy to be out in jeep working on it. The coder reader port is not communicating with computer what so ever I check all grounds that I could possibly find (they all seem ok). So I then went up to the fuse box under the hood and went to fuse #17 I think it was (been a little while since I was out last).but I get no voltage at that fuse or the back of the box were fuse goes. I looked at a few wiring diagrams my brain cant comprehend that kinda wiring haha

A '97 vintage rig is still a bit early for complete computer coverage of malfunctions. So try putting a description of your problem in print.

Ok I will do that tonight when I get home from work. Does anyone think by chance since it is a 2000 DJ but title says 97. Do you think the motor from my 97 just isnt working with everything else on the jeep? Just curious
