Hi, new member.. just wanted to post this since it never happened b4... 2019 Grand Cherokee, took to car wash, over 100 degrees.. went thru wash came home. After sitting a bit, went for drive no air coming thru the vents, but air pushing inside dash. Realized going thru wash ac was not on recirculating and water sucked into the system.. after drying, and removing the cabin filter all good. There is a HUGE door under outer vent right above air entry into filter..sucked like a $10.00 street walker I guess... anyway no more dar wash unless the recirculating door is closed. Just wanted to share. Great site

Welcome @Maggman ...wasn't aware of that suction problem but my JK has never been in one. Must have been one of the leftovers to charge only $10

The first thing I would suggest would be to check on the firewall and rear of engine would be a disconnected vacuum line from the engine. The switching mechanism for the hvac unit is controlled by engine vacuum, so I think somehow it got disconnected.

Did you do anything special to fix the problem? Curious as JGC owners on the average tend to have more comfort/tech issues than Wranglers.

Yes looked inside the cowling from the front of the engine and saw that the door for the recycled air is open when not in recycle mode and allows water to come into the cabin filter. From now on just using the recycle mode to be safe.
