How can one measure the lift on a 2010 JK?

Lifts are more art than science and there’s no standard agreed upon method for measuring it, that I know of. If I’m wrong, I’ll be happy to learn of the method. The way it’s done is to find a reference point in your jeep and measure it accurately before and after. That’s it. All Jeeps are not born equal, they use different springs and shocks depending on how they’re optioned, so you never really know how your jeep fits in. That being said, Jeeps keep a pretty regular height despite model differences. But as one of the most modified vehicles out there quite a few of them don’t stay OEM for long.
