Bought the Jeep in October 2020. Weather just starting to turn here in New England. Took off Hard top last week and put up the soft top. Had VERY heavy rains yesterday and last night. Both doors are leaking and water is coming down and soaking the inside door areas above and below the door handles and electric window switches. The has to be a recurring problem on Jeeps. Looking for solutions. Looks like to soft top has had very little use as the windows could pass for new.

Is it a bestop softop? Had mine about a year no issues yet. Not being funny, have you sat in the Jeep during a rain to witness where it appears to be coming from in its initial entrance in your Jeep? Nevermind, read where you just put it on. Try to sit in it during a rain and see if you can locate point of entry. As a softop owner, I'm curious as well.

To prevent mold/mildew lift the carpets and pads to open up the drain holes at least until the major sources of the leak are resolved. Sounds like some parts may be missing in your soft top kit as the doors must have a large gap thats allowing water to enter.

to jeepavalanche - It may be a Best top as you asked but only if Best top supplied Mopar with the jeep convertible tops. Perhaps someone else can weight in on that question. I am quite contain that top is is original to the vehicle. History says the hard top was used almost exclusively. I was in the jeep Friday during these downpours. I pushed back the front top part and examined. Seems to me that the water follows a rubber channel from back to front and then exits the channel some outside and some inside the door.

to aggrex - I have looked over the soft top and there does not appear to be any 'missing parts' as you suggest. Is there anything specific I should look for? pictures would be most helpful. The door gap is not excessive at all and I have dried it the mats.

I own a 2011 2 door and I was surprised how tight the soft top is! I put a bestop NX super top on it because the zippers were seized and it’s even better than Oem. So, I’d agree with @aggrex something isn’t right with either the top or the installation or both. If you don’t know any Jeep people, take it to a dealer and ask them to show you how to install and use the top. It should be dry and good in the cabin. The jeep soft top is not easy to use but when it’s up it works great.

Jeepavalanche thanks for the reply. I actually thought this may be a common Jeep problem but based on the responses, maybe not. I will probably pursue a solution at the local Jeep dealer and/or contact Besttop and Quadratec and discuss with them. Thanks again
