I had a blast driving my 2020 Jeep Gladiator. I had driven my Gladiator about 1,000 miles when one day several error codes came across the dash including abs and 4wd failure. The results of the error code were complete brake failure causing an accident with another vehicle when I ran a red light not being able to stop the Jeep with pressing on the brakes. Because of the accident I now have chronic pain. The black box showed Jeep was travelling at 35mph 5 seconds before accident and 31mph at impact. On level ground the gladiator decelerates at about 1mph per second without the throttle engaged. Believe it or not, despite all of the evidence Fiat Chrysler Jeep has been unwilling to take responsibility.

This is your chance to make the Jeep world a better place if you had similar experiences with a Jeep please reach out to me with your story as we are looking for additional plaintiffs to possibly add to a class action lawsuit.

'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing'

    WHO accessed the black box?

    What was TPS reading ?
    What was brake switch status?
Was the jeep STOCK - just as delivered?

I feel for you, ajinmedina. Jeep would never declare responsibility at this stage, that is an unrealistic expectation. Keep moving forward with the legal process. Don’t worry about Jeep. They’ll do whatever they need to do, including lies, denial, obfuscation, legal manouvering, and character assasination. Private detectives will soon be following you around 24/7. Good luck.

Where would I find the TPS reading and the Brake switch status?

The jeep was stock just as delivered.

Bosch and "independent" agency found by Jeep reviewed the black box and provided the attached ERP report showing the brakes did not have maximum braking capacity or any ABS activity while the brakes were being pressed for over 5 seconds

I do not understand the brakes on for 5seconds before impact...
those readings are there, throttle was comming to off (idle) and brakes applied. IIRC @ 1sec before "impact". Where the blue tick is on chart.

Reconstruction is a trade unto itself a "science' if you will.
Your attorney may want his review of the data.

Kind of interesting topic- the black box your friend or ?

If this is a manual transmission I would like to see CPPS status - clutch report.
The speed and brake time paints a picture of not reacting until less than 75 feet before event. you were @35mph @ 50 feet before the intersection stop line.

Did the report list the dignostic codes? If there were a brake switch code or brake code the picture changes as the info may be skewed.

IDK the info on page 2 bracketed in red it shows 'service brake' off until -1.2 sec (blue arrow) also the RPM do not drop until @ -1.1sec , As I mentioned its a science and with thse codes esp U0418 , invalid data from brake control module
