Hi, I'm seriously considering buying a 2008 Command v6 that needs wheel and transmission sensors replaced. It sounds like a minor repair. I'm also interested in 2000 Grand Cherokee with a straight 6 engine. Both are being sold by independent sellers. The GC is having the fuel pump replaced this week. Right now I'm sold on the Commander because the reviews are convincing. I am currently driving a suburban so the "abysmal" gas mileage is still better than what I'm getting now. I would appreciate information and suggestions about investing in a Commander that is being sold because of 2 sensors needing to be replaced. Ideas? Thank you!

the commander - have the seller repair and then YOU select a independent shop (not his pick) performe a pre sale inspection, check the computers for diagnostic codes, Check suspension, brakes, warning lights, and get that professional eye on the jeep - well worth the money spent.

What year suburban - and WHY sell it? All in all very good vehicle. Yes a 7.4L tends to use fuel but that is long ago.

The 2000 WJ - yoou say the 4.0L engine - an excelllant engine Same advise about a professional pre sale inspection worth the money,

Agreed...why buy a vehicle with known issues that you have to resolve. Don't buy some else's unresolved problems. Sometimes these "easy" fixes can become a nightmare.
