    Got 38.5 bloggers on a 79 CJ5. 327 Chevy on ten bolt 44s. Put mini spools front and rear. Was trying to tighten up the steeringIMG_20161204_125810.jpg

    I don't have any pics of the suspension of yet. But I built a four link and got some F350 coils from a junkyard. I put 456 gears and mini spools in the front and rear. Doesn't like to turn, especially in four wheel drive. It's Street legal but I don't drive it much on the street.

    A friend of mine built a buggy in similar fashion using f350 axles and coil springs. He gets some pretty good articulation from his set up, and built the whole thing on a $6k budget. Did you use the buckets off the f350 or did you order after market bucket mounts. I have been toying with this idea for a while now.

    I used the buckets off the 79 -F350. Welded the threaded Fastener to the existing leaf spring mount. A big washer and nut hold the bottom of the spring and I welded the buckets to the frame on the top. Built shock towers out of schedule 40 one inch pipe. I'll take some pics tomorrow and show you what I did.

    Yep. Turning my front end when fully locked is difficult for sure. A selectable locker is a good investment. I like the New Eaton Elocker, but My buddy likes the Ox-locker with the cable shift. If his Jams open or closed he can manually change it with a hammer and a punch. Knock on wood mine hasn't jammed up in the 2 years I've been running it. I do like being locked in the back though. I am currently building an axle with a full spool. Anxious to see how it performs.

    What part of the country do you live in? That sure looks a lot like East Texas thicket behind your jeep in the picture you posted. I'm in Houston.
