Perhaps, but I like to keep most of the mud on the outside-along with the snow. BTDT.

The doors are rarely on my 3B when wheeling and it is just a much more fun ride in every way. Well, maybe except for the AC. The AC is pretty nice when getting to a trailhead when it's hot-but then I'm a geezer. A photo from 96 with the foster kid North Meadow/McKelvey Lake trail (965B at that time). And the skiing was damn good above Cliff Lake.

Found a marked down $38>$10 CAT tool belt that I don’t need but repurposed it for the Jeep. Comes with two large bags that have a detachable handle. Great for small, light-weight stuff like masks, gloves and more luv letters ;)13F88813-349F-4B39-8941-1B695C776859.jpg7F0FD454-61DD-4309-BDFD-4BC6434C1AAF.jpg

Old expired markdown that popped up at Costco so ymmv

Sometimes the simplest things in life can make an impact. SIXTEEN inch Michelin wipers from Costco fit the JK :) ! Last time I picked up a 15” wiper from the dealer I was sold a yellowing old package and that only lasted a few months before streaking :(

Well, this past week spent 3 days working on the Jeep……

completed front axle seal swap out… and a thorough cleaning of all the mud. Lol

also, changed out the valve cover gasket on the passenger side. Man that knock sensor in the back was a pain to get. What stupid engineer said let’s put this in the back with the screws facing the other side so people have difficulty getting it. What morons! Sorry, venting. Got it done. Lol

… and I just got him back and now ..

    No power and this:

K9 thingy made that noise without ignition running .. sigh .. took it out, noise gone. It was so weird, no key in ignition and it still made that loud clicking sound.

    Battery is dead ..

All fixed, replaced K9, jump started and it all worked. it took that yellow engine light a little bit but eventually it turned off again. Yay.

Now that we (@Bob) got rid of the bottom dwellers trying to sell us Ford and Chevy stuff. And the (rcouple) new members trying to turn us into a NSFW site are gone. Let's get this thread back on track.

LoD Offroad LED bolt lights. After some one broke my license plate light, that was part of my plate mount. I cut that piece off and went with these. Pretty cool.

Did a bunch of upgrades that I didn't post up. This is one of them. I'll post up more at a later date.

The Fox shocks are good stuff. Keep an eye out for the next muffler deal as that salty brine crap they like to dump pre-emptively on the roads even if there is no snow is catching up with you and me ;(

Way ahead of ya @aggrex. A year or so ago Quadratec was pushing their axle back duel outlet muffler. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. It's been sitting in my spare room since just waiting for the current muffler to go. But....cuz my JK wears mufflers like I wear my tiddy whites. Till they have holes in them.. It's staying in the box for now. But nice observation .

They use a brine sand mixture up in NY where I spent alot of time. That crap is nasty. It just turns into salty mud after a snow fall. And my Jeep is allergic to mud.

BTW. The Fox shocks are sweet. Highly recommended:flexing:.

Yeah, I’ve got a small leak. I fixed the bigger more headache of a leak few months back. It was the valve cover gasket. That side is good now and seems to be a small leak from driver side now. “Eventually I’ll get to it”(Jeep motto lol)!

Picked up an “off-road” ready floor jack $299-10%=269 IMG_9875.jpg IMG_9876.jpg IMG_9877.jpg that is much much less than the expensive Pro Eagle. Easier to roll than the standard floor jacks and rolls easily on grass or gravel. Also has some advantages over the Pro Eagle: extension bolts on with supplied hex tool, extension stores securely, handle is removable, handle can lock into position to get the jack rolling like a hand truck.

The only con is the “off-road” jack is a bit heavy but lighter than standard full-size floor jacks. There are side handles, a strap and the long handle is removable to make it easier for transport.

Going to try to solo tackle my small steering issue this weekend. Figured out the problem(I hope). Need to swap out my front left wheel bearing hub assembly. Wish me luck.

hoping I don’t come across any issues so I have time left over to finally install my tailgate tire carrier bracket and get my tire out of my trunk area!
