When first starting out it doesn't make any noise just a slight click turning the wheel left and right stationary. Going straight no noise. After driving 20 minutes the noise gets increasingly louder and more frequent the longer I drive and only when turning left and right. No different in noise either way I turn. The noise sounds like front suspension. The ball joints were changed a couple years ago. The warmer and longer I drive the worse the popping noise gets but is ok going straight only makes noise when turning.

Might want to drive it for a while, then see if you can park, and have someone turn the steering back and forth while you listen for the location its coming from.

Is the noise actually louder or is your anxiety over the noise making it louder (This happens to me). Sounds like you have a moving part bumping another moving part, like the steering stabilizer bumping the top of the pumpkin, or maybe a worn tierod end popping with each turn of the steering wheel.

    I like Chris's idea.

I will do that next. Yesterday the ignition switch failed. The pin sheared into inside so it won't start. Looking for that first.

While the ignition is being fixed the mechanic is going to look at the front end.

Found a couple loose bolts and tightend those up and he said it sounded like a wheel bearing so changed both of those. That stopped the slight howling noise coming from the front wheel bearings. The clunking sound is gone. Still have the groaning noise when turning left when Jeep has been driven a few miles. Quiet when driven short distance. Everything is tight so don't know what to do now. It's been checked and rechecked.

Hard left turn? Possibly the Power steering pump. Many power steering pumps of all makes and models groan under hard left and right turns even new cars.

It does that too but the noise I hear is more like an occasional groan and a binding of parts and a loud thumping sound like when it goes past that spot when turning the wheel. I can feel it in my feet and it is on the left side like where the steering box is I think. Only does it when the Jeep has been driven a few miles. It's quiet up until that point. After it sits a while the noise is gone until driven a few miles again.

My only suggestion is to drive it to that point when it is making that noise. Have someone drive the car slowly duplicating what it is doing while you walk next to it and isolate the noise. Could be axle Ujoints, possibly steering linkage, steering wheel shaft, any thing that has moving parts. Could be wheel bearings and calipers.

Problem solved - a bolt holding a steering linkage bracket to the frame on the left side (drivers side) was loose. There are 2 bolts and 1 was loose. Hard to see but the mechanic went under the Jeep and found where the noise was coming from. Tightened the bolt and no more clanking rubbing sound.

The Track Bar Mount was loose. The 2 at the top of the mount were snug so I tightened them a little. The 2 going throug the bottom to the frame were loose in fact 1 is broken off. Tightend the 1 and that fixed the noises. Now I need to get the broken bolt out. Any ideas?

Drill it. Using the biggest bolt remover you can take it out. Or drill it and retap it.

That son of a gun was rust welded in place. Drilled it out and put a 12mx1.75x40 bolt and nut with loc-tite. Good as new. Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions.
