I'm a first time jeep owner and I'm looking for the best place to get accessories such as lift kits, steps, bumpers.

welcome! We have a couple vendors on here that can steer you the right way, and give a good price. What are you looking to do on your Jeep?

I'm going to lift it 3 or 4 inches, bigger tires, heavier bumpers with winch and steps. Will have to do a little at a time.

Its a 2017. Haven't had it a week yet, but already love it. Took the doors off and went cruising this weekend.

Lift Kits? Check out BDS. They make top quality lift kits, all with their "No questions asked, no fine print" lifetime warranty on each part; Doesn't matter where or how it breaks, on or off-road; lifetime warranty still applies. I had a 3" BDS lift kit on my 2010, and it was excellent.

You can go to 35" tires with a 2.5" lift. You can go 37" with a 3.5"/4" lift. You will need a wheel with a 4.5" to 5" backspace.

Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.

On my 2008 JKU I ran 37s on a 4in Teraflex lift and otherwise stock JEEP, and did some hard wheeling with lots of flex. I now, on that same 4 in lift run 40s after removing stock fenders and running flat fenders on it. With Metalcloak's Overline Fenders you can run 37s without a lift. My wheeling partner runs his JKU with 37s on a 2.5in lift with flat fenders. I also know THE trail guide for the new Jeep commercials and he runs a 2016 JKU with 40s on a 2.5in lift using bumpstops and flat fenders. He did have to hammer back the rear tabs to keep them from cutting up his tires. My personal opinion is that on a 4in lift 37s look the best.

My point is that you can pretty much run what you want with enough forethought and ingenuity, and never really get into the sheetmetal. Call the companies that are doing it like Teraflex and Metalcloak. I'm sure they will be happy to give you pointers. Joe Thompson at Teraflex loves to talk. Look him up on facebook.

Thanks for all the info. I really appreciate it. New at all this stuff and always wanted a lifted jeep. Seen people in them all the time but never could afford it. Older now but can make it happen.

I bought a 2016 wrangler last year with the thought of maybe a little bigger tires and neater wheels. That would be all. I am now much further into it than that. There is always something else, when I think , "OK, that's enough.". Addictive, yes, yes. Fun, yes, yes. Good looking jeep.
