My owners manual states the Curb Weight for my stock XJ 4x4 is 3028#. I had it weighed at the Truck Scales and it came in at 3660#. Which is right?

Most 4x4 XJs weigh between 3350 to 3550 lb. IMO the 4x4 XJs are still a great design: compact size, solid axles and sub 3600lb compared to the 4500-5500lb suv behemoths running to the malls.

Howell fuel injection, header, HEI distributor, TH350, NP208, SOA lift with YJ springs in the front & GW springs in the Rear. AMC20 with G2 1 piece chromos trussed, Dana 30 with G2 chromos and 760x ujoints and MM Stainless Hubs, Geared 4.56. Tom Woods shafts, Metal cloaks, Caged, 37" Toyo MTs.
After market wheels, tires, stereos, winches etc will all add weight if you have any of these. Also curb weight is dry weight. Fuel is roughly 8lbs per gallon.

My repair manual states Curb Weight includes consumables, oil, grease and fuel, etc. and water. I had 1/2 tank of gas and nothing in it except glove box items, next size up tires and aluminum stock wheels. Can't figure out why it weighed 3660 unless the scale was off. My problem is that my Class C Motorhome is only able to pull 3500 pounds.

Chris... perhaps you got to cool it on the mega cheese steaks+fries at the mall and spend more on jeep parts...LOL :)
Kidding aside we all got to watch our diet so we can play with Jeeps for a long, long time!

Got some mud? This can add a few hundred pounds.
