Hello, I am new to this type of forum. I have just purchased a stock 1994 Wrangler and want to use it at Pismo Beach (California). I need to keep height down to fit in trailer, but wondering what else I can do to my wrangler to get around the dunes with family?

Beedlock wheels so you can safely drop that tire pressure to under 10.

At lower speeds over the dunes I had no problems aired down to 20psi. Bring a shovel, piece of wood, jack, tire gauge and air pump.

How tall is your trailer. I bet you could do the Old Man Emu 2.5 in lift springs and run 33x12.50x15 tires on 15x8 wheels. For modest height lifts I really like the OME springs. They ride even better than factory. If you need or want another inch get 1 in lift shackles front and back. Get a winch and use a self setting boat anchor in the sand to winch yourself out then just drive over it to pull it out of the sand.

Show us some pics. I like the squares myself.

I have 76 inches of clearance in trailer, I like beed lock idea with a bit larger wheels than stock, I only have 4 inches to play in trailer as Jeep sits now. I plan on having jack and shovel. Will get solid piece of wood. I also air down to 18 PSI with those screw on auto deflators. I wonder if purchasing sand tires would be worth it? any stance on that?

If you're only going to 18 psi, you would be fine with a standard wheel. The beedlocks benefits kick in lower than 10.

I run 10 psi without any problems on 37x14.50 You could run 12 psi on 33s. You could run the setup I mentioned earlier. You might have to let some air out of the tires. That's how I get mine in the garage.
