275/70R18 without a lift on a stock 2017 Sahara?

    I just bought a 2017 Wrangler Sahara unlimited, and was wondering if I can get away with a 275/70r18 with out a lift. I don't do any major off-roading, just some muffing every now and then. Does anyone have any experience with this size on there stock Jeep?

    They should fit fine. You might need to install wheel spacers if you have any rubbing.

    Thank you Chris! Maybe you can dispel a rumor that I heard from a tire installer that spacers are bad idea to put on.

    My opinion, a quality wheels spacers installed properly is fine.

    Yeah they just want to sell you some wheels too. If spacers were unsafe they would be outlawed.

    But back to the subject at hand. Previous posters covered my thoughts and opinions. I agree. Spacers are safe. Just a pain in the ass. You really should check their torque every now and then. It's all about back spacing. Buy wheels with back spacing. And you can bypass the spacers. I have wheels with 4 1/2" back spacing. And I love the stance and fender coverage. Just my opinion. Your Jeep. Make it yours.

    What the others have said. I've been running wheel spacers for over 3 years without issues. No different than a wheel with different back spacing, when considering the moment loading of the hub.

    I put on some Nitto terra grappler 2's 305/50R20 no lift or spacers and no rubbing.
