We live two miles from the beach on the eastern end of Long Island NY, and after 15 years of saying "We're going to get a beach truck this year..." we FINALLY got our girl: a 2017 Rubicon Hard Rock. Can't wait to take her to the beach!

I use the term loosely...We've been saying "beach truck" for years, before we even knew what we were getting.

Nothing too crazy...My biggest (most challenging) mod is going to be figuring out how to mount my Yakima SUPPUP board rack onto the roll cage...I have the front pretty much figured out, but I'm probably going to need a custom bracket for the back one. Other than that...I would love to get half doors, but I'll probably do that for next summer.
I got the Hard Rock edition because I really loved the way it looked as is...I was initially going to get a Sport or a Smokey Mountain and upgrade wheels, bumpers, etc...But when I saw the Hard Rock, it just felt perfect for me. I LOVE the bumpers on it, and once I fell in love with those, it was hard to look at anything else ;)

I agree. The bumpers are really nice. I beleive 10th anniversary Rubis, or some thing along those lines, came with them. I love the tires and wheels too. Gotta put in a lift. 2" would set it apart from others. 1/2 doors would look cool too.

Keep us posted. Take pics along the way. Good luck with it Dude. And again....have fun with it.
