Welcome! Nice clean ride. De-chroming will make it yours as chrome is an acquired taste and yours is a sharp example that did not deter you from buying it.

    Welcome.

Nice rig dude. I agree with the Chrome. It's so 80's. Some Jeeps can pull it off. But I'm a fan of black on black. Look forward to your build thread.

I like it. Everyone else has been blacking out for several years now. Dare to be different. If you decide to take it all off, send it to me. I'll use it.

What is everyone's thoughts on a snorkle for those deep water muddin adventures? Are they worth it. Becuase I think they kinda look silly unless you need it. I have a guy wanting to sell us one for like 80.00. Just wanted to get some opinions before I go out and spend the money.

Depending on the quality or condition the price is good. How well the joints are sealed or stay sealed and how much modding you need to make it fit (cutting the hood or fender) or work correctly could diminish the value. If nothing else it may be better than the CAI they market. If you think they look silly then you might have your answer.

My advice. STAY OUTTA THE MUD. And you wont need a snorkel. Lol. But if you feel you need to play in the mud, you might need a snorkel. . Then I agree with aggrex. Seals are a big issue. Keep the mud out of your intake. Your wheels bearings and seals are another issue and thread. Bottom line. Have fun. That's what it's all about.

Oh...almost forgot. Yo Peter. I posted the chromed TJ from the Jeep Invasion, with you in mind. I know your a fan of chrome. As I am. And I really like your avatar. As I stated in another thread. It works on some rigs. It really works on yours, and the TJ I saw in Wildwood. And I had my chromed out Chevys before I became a Mopar fan. That Jeep brought back some really nice memories. It was nice to see a Jeep chromed out like that.,

Yea it's all about having fun but I think that I am going to keep the top up and the windows and doors on it when I go becuase I will be cleaning mud out of the truck for a month lol. I am looking to get another Jeep just for the mud and then the one we have now use it for trail riding. Thanks for the advice on the snorkle though I will keep it in mind.

Are you talking about the green one? I saw it. Pretty nice. I can't get into the angry Jeep look. I saw somebody once post, "Jeeps are not angry. People make them angry." I tend to agree.

Yes, I was talking about the green one. It was pretty sweet. I'm not into the angry look either. I had a different type of bumper end caps and I didn't like them. They made my JK look angry. Some one told me the other day it (still) looks angry. I think the light bar gives it that appearance. I think the light brow gives it some attitude.

Anyway. Yes I didn't talk pics of the angry rigs in Wildwood. Although there is that red JKU. That rig was just nasty.
