I find it hard to believe the brakes on a jeep compass are going to be so easy to change. Has anyone here done the brakes on a 2007 front wheel drive compass and was it as easy as it seems?

Yep most brakes these day are pretty easy and straight forward to change though I have never changed them on a compass.

I've never done the front brakes on a Compass. But on today's vehicles. Most any vehicle. The brakes are unbelievably easy. Depending on what your doing, and the extent of what you plan on replacing. They are very straight forward and fairly easy to do. Just make sure you don't pull to one side or the other when you test them.

But to answer your question. Yes, they are that easy.

Watch a few videos on pad and/or rotor replacement to review the general steps. IMO the old drum brakes were more challenging but interesting.

Agree aggrex. I hated doing drum brakes. My XJ had rear drums. Did twice and cursed and :censored: hated it. Not to mention numerous other vehicles. And they really didn't change much over the years. Awesome that most vehicles had discs all round now. Love it.

I would also suggest what aggrex said. Search for a couple DIY videos.

I watched a couple videos and I have all wheel disc to do the c/o on and compared to my 89 blazer these seem to just slip in and the full set is under $50.00. Thanks for the feedback...

FYI: pickup some brake cleaner, caliper lube, oem or better pads. New rotors if badly scored or warped.

Definitely. Any thing else you need. You know where to find us. Lol. Good luck. And remember. It's a Jeep. It's not a repair. It's an upgrade. Lol. :flexing:
