Brake booster

    I have a 93 Grand Cherokee with the 4.0 and my brake booster blew out on it last time I had taken it out. my question is when I pulled the old one out and order the new one there is a port on the new one and old one that had a looked like a electrical plug in the end of it. it is located on the left side of the front of the booster(see pic) it self if you are looking at it. what is this called. the old booster got tossed in the trailer with all the scrap before I could pull that part off but don't know what it is called to get a new one so any help would be appreciated

    A WAG. Should be the location for the "Pedal Travel Sensor".

    Did your other one have a two wire electrical connection which plugged in there? If you have that connection, hanging there, then I would say you NEED the sensor to plug it into.

    Overall, I think that question may be best answered by your parts house. And, if you don't need it then maybe they have a plug for that spot.

    It had the 2 wire connector I just didn't know if there was a way to jump it out and or plug that hole I will talk to my parts gut and see what he say thanks

    If you have the two wire connector you will need to put a sensor in. You would have been able to remove it from the old booster. You can purchase a new one now though.
