I don't let something hold me back,my disability as a paraplegic. It was in March that I did get spine stroke and was not good news.I was cleaning something and my back was starting to hurt during it following the neck pain.It got worse, left leg went numb and could not feel my right leg at all.Luckily my 17 year old son was at home seeing something was not right. He called 911 and was taken to the hospital. Then the tests happened including an MRI.Doctors saw what was wrong,a disc came out of place cutting off blood supply.Said it was spine stroke and got even more bad news.Doctor walked in and said I would not walk ever again, paralyzed from the waist down.Did learn to adjust getting around in a wheelchair one day at a time.Plus driving using hand controls.Biggest thing is I had support from my family and friends through it including from my 3 kids.Includes students from school,I am a high school principal.Recieved so many cards from them including from the staff. My family and friends say I am strong and have not let this hold me back in any way.

So true. All of them. As I mentioned in another thread. I have a Brother with MS. In a wheel chair for 7 -8 years now. I give him so much credit. I don't know if I could do it being a very active person. And recently he's been in a rehabilitation center. And they have made great progress with him. Point being as said here. You don't know how strong you are until it's your only choice.

Again....i wish you the best. Keep on wheelin. Your an inspiration. :dancingbacon:
