Nice job! Good decision on the tramp stamp. No need for mixed messages.

Yeah.....could get a little confusing and sketchy. Not quite sure why you suggested it. But we won't go there. Lol...

Ok. Great thread. Keep a spare.

My question is this.... My spare is a 29" - with my mains at 35" - is that going to be an issue if I have to use it? Lol. I want to get a full size spare but thinking it might need the off road spare mount that connects to the frame of the jeep not just the tailgate b/c it'll start warping.... True? Thoughts? Larger heavier spare has a rep of over loading the OEM mount over time. In a pinch the significantly smaller spare preferably up front will get you home.

Thx. I'll have to price out getting the chassis mounted spare mount and full size eventually. Bleh. 29" spare for 35"s - really?!

Something to consider is the TeraFlex JK HD hinge adjustable tire carrier kit. It's designed for up to 37" over extreme trails. The design spreads the load and weight of the tire to more than just one hinge point. TeraFlex claims its one of the strongest, rattle-free tire carriers on the market today. It's a bit spendy like your awesome rack but so are bumper/frame mounts. I'm running the TeraFlex HD hinge with the OEM carrier as 37s are not in the plans yet...LoL

I'm just using the stock carrier for my 33" spare. And as of now, no issues. But I am keeping an eye on my tailgate. I do have plans in the future at some point to install a beefier HD hinge like the Teraflex Aggrex has installed. Just having a tough time the cost. At about $500, that's new flat fender flares plus. Lol.
