    The 2.7 is a tank of an engine. I had a 2000 with that motor, and it was bullet proof. Not the most power, but it wasn't made to drag race.

    Yea it's a terrific motor but slap on some nearly 34" tires and you can all but guarantee you won't climb up and over anything. My driveway is nearly 45 degrees so it was a daily reminder I needed more power. Plus I have 2 kids.. Not so good in an extended cab Tacoma.

    I was running 32's on mine, and with the OEM 4.30 gears, it wasn't bad.

    I was at Fayetteville for a number of years and then over in Selma/Smithfield area for a bit after I got out of the Army. Enjoyed the area.
