    6 inch coil spring lift kit
    New to 4wd jeep I have 95 yj with 6 coil spring lift on 33s looking to find quick disconnect sway links without breaking the bank any info

    Ok. So this isn't the JK section, but I'd like to just keep this thread going since its on subject.

    So it was suggested to me to get quick disconnects put on my '09 JK that has a 2.5" lift and 35" wheels for off roading. Does that mean I should get them for both front and rear axle or just one or the other? I'm hoping this will be enough for me to safely off road some easier stuff without concern.

    Are these things something that hubby and I can do in our own garage or do we need a mechanic to do it?

    Thoughts?

    For easy trails, and even moderate ones, just throw it in 4 wheel drive, and go. Disconnects help with articulation, and traversing more technical trails. That said, getting them for the front is fine.

    Ok. So not something necessary atm. Thx. We've been 4 wheeling in our stock liberty 4x4 on some easy/moderate trails in the Rockies with out any issue so maybe I'm just being overly protective of my new baby...

    Ok. So the rocky road and Quadratec terraflex are $2 apart. Which is the better brand? Opinions?

    Other than rocky road ice cream I'm only familiar with TF so I'm admittedly biased. But as long as they disconnect easily and tuck up out of the way and reconnect for on road use you should be good to go.

    Never quite figured this out been wheeling with the jeep clubs many times and never disconnected the sway bar. Have always pretty much went where everyone else has with my little 30inch tires open diffs and no disconnects. Did get stuck one time in the deep mud and winched her out in 5 min and back on the trail. Makes a fella fell kinda good to hang with the big boyz in the little 4 cyl YJ running stock springs and no lift. That made up my mind that 31s will be the largest tire I will run on the 4 cyl with a 2.5 inch OME lift 488s and 8.8 with an aussie front and back. Should be good to go.
