So recently, I've been posting about fixing the radiator and fixing a leaking issue that caused my tranny to slip and I finally figured out that advanced auto sold me the wrong size hose for my radiator and tranny. So I fixed that and everything was right and snugged. I'm not sure if I'm leaking again somewhere cause I'm not seeing it and I keep having 5o add more fluid. Basically every morning it can be a rough start and the RPMS rev up and especially up a hill and sometimes when I have to break and come to a complete stop the jeep does not like it so much and sounds like it wants to die. Once everything is warmed up it's decent with occasional slipping. Any thoughts on what i can add to my trouble shooting list?

So far I'm checking all the hoses again, checking the tranny pan and filter, and maybe an o2 sensor ?? Someone suggested that, but I'm not sure if that's related to this issue.

I would start with checking the vacuum lines. Maybe check the transmission filter.

It sounds like you have 2 problems that are not directly related to each other. The slipping as you say sounds like the transmission. The almost stalling or dying is something related to the motor whether it is fuel, air, or electronic. I try to fix one thing at a time. The transmission; are you still having to add transmission fluid to it daily? If so you still have a leak. Make sure you check the fluid before adding, because too much fluid can have the same symptoms as too little fluid. Slipping. Slipping can also mean that your clutch packs are going out and you will have to rebuild it soon. Did it sit for a long period of time without driving it; 3-6months or more. That will make the clutch packs brittle causing them to disintegrate under normal usage. This happens because the material that coats the clutch packs needs to stay coated in transmission fluid and this can only happen when it is being driven. One of the reasons a car needs to be driven at least monthly.

You guys are awesome, to answer the question with it sitting for a long period of time the answer is no. Pretty much every day, im almost thinking maybe too much was added, and I'll check for leaks, just bot sure where it's leaking at. My goal this weekend is changing the trans filter and like you suggested, fix one thing at a time

Also, whenever I put it in park now, it revs up. Not really high, but it's different. My wife and I trade vehicles every once in awhile to save miles on her truck and winters almost here so I'm trying to get as much done asap

I'll let you guys know what I find. Thank you !
