My most recent purchase is a 87 YJ w/ 4.2, BA10 trans (yuk). This YJ has never seen a winter. The original color was Yellow with Spice interior. It might have been a Islander?? But it was painted green at some point. Glad to be aboard.

The Jeep sat in storage for 7 years before I bought it. I runs real rough. Probably start with a Nutter and see if that helps.
It needs a lot of attention, valve cover to begin with. I have many ideas so we will see how it all unfolds.

That's common on the 4.2/4.0 engine.
Not sure what a Nutter is, but sounds like a good place to start. ;)

Welcome! Could be an interesting build. Stored for 7 years is both good and bad for a vehicle. Running rough could be attributed to more factors besides just the nutter.

I have been running it a little here and there and it is better +/-. Choke is not working at all though.

I've been thinking about your Jeep. It is an 87 so that means it is carberated right? If it set up for 7 years the carburetor seals are shot and it needs to be rebuilt. You will never get it to run right with bad seals in the carb. Also the gas is bad. Drain the tank and refill it with new gas. Start there and see if it is better.
