305/65/17 without rubbing?

New jeeper here and I'm already trying to figure out what size tires I can put on my 2015 Unlimited Sahara. I was thinking of changing the existing 18 inch wheel to a 17×9 with a -12 mm offset. I wanted to know if I could run a 305/65/17 without any rubbing issues on this wheel. If not would how big could I go?

 

You do mean a +12 offset right?

 

I meant a -12 but decided against that entire configuration. Instead I've decided to go with a 285/70/17 on 0mm offset wheel. It says that I should have a 5 inch back space on that. Do you foresee any issues with that?

 

I had originally thought you meant +12 but recently noticed what was actually posted (-12) so changed my answer. As for the new question, I think that will work but you may have some rub at full turn. Not a config I have tried. I would go 4.0 to 4.75 myself.
