Do you think the rock sliders will rub

    Sorry if this has been covered before but did a quick search and couldn't find much info.

    I know 35s fit with no lift and the stock rubi rock sliders will rub when flexing.

    My question is will this be corrected after a 4" long arm lift?

    I'm getting the lift installed this weekend before a trail.

    I won't have the luxury to install the lift and check the clearance as there won't be time left to cut the sliders before the trail.

    I can cut them during the week but would really rather not cut them at all if it's not needed.

    What do you think?

    On the zoomed in image I clipped it right where the slider ends to illustrate a straight vertical line.

    I would imagine that flexing would increase the wheelbase and push the tire away from the slider but I've been wrong many, many times before.

    Taking off the Rubi rock sliders will take longer than cutting them. Bigger tires will tend to make contact with the Rubi rock sliders. Never understood why Jeep made them extra long. To avoid slicing those directional tires cut off the extra length (approx 1.5"), sand smooth, paint, then reattach the plastic end piece.

    I took a Sawzall to mine, and rattle canned the ends. I DID take time to take off the plastic caps, then jammed them back on after cutting, and painting. You could do one side at a time, if you wanted to do it after work r something. I think it took me about 1 1/2 hours to take them off, cut, paint, and put back on, but that included pressure washing......and letting them dry in the AZ summer heat......so.........5 extra mins.

    ugh I know what the heck is that extra 1.5 inches for!? Thanks I some videos with the exact advise you offered Gonna give it a go tomorrow hopefully.

    Dang that was quick. Did you have help? The sliders have to be pretty heavy.

    No help. They aren't that bad. About 50# or so....maybe 70?

    as mentioned, it takes longer to take them off than to cut them. I used a Ryobi Sawzall, with a Bi-Metal blade, and it made short work of it.
