welcome to the site! Ride quality is dictated by the spring rate, tire pressure, and such. Is your Jeep lifted?

Welcome! During your initial test drive it should have been very apparent LoL. Actually I find the ride quite invigorating during the morning commute to work as compared to consumers report whining and complaining.

What are you comparing it to?

A coil sprung Wrangler isn't bad if you compare it to an old leaf sprung Jeep CJ.

The short wheelbase may make it seem rougher as the front end may not have had time to settle down before the back tires hit the same bump.

Well they ain't Lincoln's...Like stated above the short wheelbase, spring rate, shocks, and tire pressure has some to do with it. Maybe if you share what your suspension is, along with brand of shocks. Size, load range, ply of the tires and what psi your running them at. We could make some suggestions to make it a little better.

Because of the short wheel base (WB) wranglers tend to be choppy, but not rough. CJs are a different animal. They are rough, but can be smoothed out with a few mods. If you are talking about the 2000 wrangler tell us if it is lifted or stock, what size tires do you have on it. Post some pictures of it on here so we can see what you are working with. The TJ should be a pretty smooth ride as far as jeeps go.

I thought the ride in my 17 Sport would be rough but I am really surprised and pleased with the ride, mine is lifted with 33 12.50
