FCA brought a couple of new JLs to town with a couple of Jeep reps so last night I had the chance to go crawl around them.
Both were 4 doors, one was a Rubicon and one Sport. Unfortunately they didn't have any literature to pick up, so I took a few pics.

Something of interest that I did know until I crawled under them was that the front axle will have an electronic central axle disconnect. I am sure it's to try and squeeze every bit of MPG out of it they can, but it seems Jeep has already been down this road and did away with it once. Time will tell how strong and reliable it is.

Also for those in strict legal states that may be sticklers for 3rd brake lights the new JL comes with a height adjustable 3rd brake light to accommodate larger spare tires.

The Rubicon rear seat has a fold down console in the middle that has cup holders, the Sport has no rear center console but there are cup holders behind the front console towards the floor. The Rubicon had rear USB power ports and 115V outlet.

Not a fan of the offset on the wheels, the Sport almost looks like it has hubcaps.
You do have to remove the wipers to drop the windshield but the wipers remove with 1 nut each. There are a few easter eggs but the Jeep rep I spoke with said they were keeping them to a minimum on the Wrangler but would still be including them more in the Cherokee and Renegade. The side vents on the fenders are operational active air vents. The fenders have a grove between them and the body that I can see collecting dust and mud... I don't think I got a good picture of that though. Also the doors do have a door check with detents to help keep the door open, but is one more thing to disconnect if you are removing the doors and I can see them being left undone by those that remove their doors often.

Overall I like it, can't afford one but like it.

Now for the pictures in no particular order..

Also I forgot to add that the windshield of the JL is at a 55.8° angle vs the JK of 62.7°.

Wasn't as big of a turn out as I had thought there might be but that was good in a way as well. I spent some time BSing with one of the Jeep reps, surprised he was a true Jeep guy. I figured he drove a Chrysler Pacifica or something and was just doing his job regurgitating info but he owns 4 Jeeps.

I love having the sub in the floor. The sound system in my 16 is so much better than the 15s and older. And I like that I have slightly more room

My buddy keeps getting dirt and other garbage in his when he takes his dogs with him. Kinda makes me happy mines in the side. Plus I keep tools/gear in the back, so it would just be muffled.

Dirt falls into mine. 15 sec of any song with any amount of bass and it's gone.

Still waiting to see a new JL around here. I see by your photos that they still have the loop pipe in the exhaust. You think they would have replaced this with all the changes. In the pic I see they moved the battery, not sure if there is enough room to put in a second battery. We need to see one of these new JLs. Thanks again for the Pics Prerunner1982.
