    Airing down will allow you to float over a bunch of stuff, rather than sink. What PSI to run depends on a lot of things. Tire construction, vehicle weight, sand density ( i.e. soft, or tight, fine or coarse, etc.). Much of the sand here in AZ is coarse river run stuff, and dropping 5 or 10 PSI can be fine. Ive been in sand in Florida that was hard to walk over, so I can imagine it would need a lower PSI to run around on.

    Awesome....thanks Chris. The beaches here are fluffy sand I guess you can say. I've seen guys air down, and guys that didn't. Of coarse different vehicles, tires, and of coarse weights. I've seen several tutorials on the subject since I am in no way an expert on the subject. And lookin to learn all I can. And I greatly appreciate your input. It really does help.
    There are numerous beach front towns here that allow you to run the beach. All different types of sand. So any and all info helps. Not sure paying the permit fee for each is worth it just for an Instagram shot. But hey. If I can run on and run off, and not get stuck. Just might be worth the effort. Loll. Just a bucket list thing for my JK. Moab is on that list too. :notsure:. Ya never know. Thanks @chris4x4.

    3 inch zone lift. Fox 2.0 shocks. 35 inch nitto ridge grapplers. Bushwacker flat fenders. No name steel bumpers front and back for now.
    When I was visiting South Padre island near Corpus Christi TX to go fishing... there was a Ford raptor run or something going on. The sand was pretty loose and fluffy.. looked like all those guys were aired down to a pretty low PSI and they were hauling ass. But that's a completely different vehicle. I agree with everybody that different types of sand would call for different PSI's
