Not sure where to post this after searching several topic threads. This will do I guess.

If you live near a Sears Store. As I'm sure most are aware. They are closing stores. Nice deals right now. As closings get closer. Better deals. Hit up my local store. Tool dept. Has been raped at this point. But still picked up a Craftsman 24 piece metric 1/2 drive ratchet/ socket set for 40% off. If you have a rewards account as I do. Additional cash off. Worth a look. Might pick up a nice deal.

Just be wary as many CM are now imported versions and some are okay and some not so. If they start clearing NOS (new-old-stock) at local stores you may find some gems as older CM offered great value for the DIY mechanic. IMO the stores running closing / fire sales may operate differently jacking up prices in order to mark down 50% or more sometimes looking like a bargain but may not be.

Yeah...I get it. Thanks for your input. They all Jack up prices to cover discounts. Just saying. If you have a rewards discount. You get an addition discount. And covered markups. Nothin new. Still got a set 50% off marked price. WITH.. membership discount. As I mentioned. Tested set before I made the purchase. I suggest you do the same. As aggrex mentioned. There are counterfeit sets out there. But I do believe most have been off the market for some time now. . Just my opinion.
Thanks for your input @aggrex. Always appreciated.

Good post! I hit one up that was close, and although the tools were gone, I got a deal on a digital tire gauge. All the craftsman tools out here, are being sold by Ace Hardware locations, so no discounts :(

That sucks. No Ace's here. So their selling all their tools. Still a fairly decent single tool inventory. Most kits and sets gone. I wanted a 1/2"drive set for when I finally pick up an impact driver. Agreed @2oldjeeps. At one time. Sears was the place to go. They didn't and or couldn't keep up with the rest of the retail world. I believe they are keeping their online store running. But don't see that lasting long.

@jkbob fyi: depending upon your future plans on the magilla jk a strong HD impact wrench and impact-rated sockets are what you want for your arsenal. The impact driver is a very useful power tool but they're not exactly designed for big nuts.

Yeah. Good advice dude. @aggrex. I have numerous air driven impact sockets with an air compressor left to me by my Dad. But, I need thin walled sockets for my JK lugs. And this set works great. May not work on all applications. But for my lugs. Perfect fit. Thanks again for your input. :)
