New here, my wife has a 2014 rubicon unlimited, it started leaking oil, we figured out the oil cooler is leaking. It's covered under the power train warranty. Problem is, the dealership told her nationwNat there are over 2000 of these on backorder. Does that sound legit? Thank you, . Ron.

Take it to another dealer and see what they say. Keep your invoice in case you go past warranty expiration to prove you brought it in.

Welcome to the forum from Florida. Its a little difference but my corvette had an issue and didn't like the answer I got from the dealer so I called the regional office to get an answer. Maybe they can help you. Good luck.

Welcome! If you think it's leaking excessively then it can't be safe to drive. Lose enough oil then you'll have a bigger problem.

The black plastic is the oil and the non plastic is the cooler part with coolant flowing through. The oil leak between the heads ( the valley) an runs down the back of the block. You can shine your flashlight at the oil filter tube in the block and see if you see oil.

offroad 798, that is exactly what is leaking, I done a bunch of research to find out that is the problem. the tech confirmed it, but the weird part is the backorder issue. They at the dealership told my wife that there are over 2000 of them on backorder nation wide, it just seems a little far fetched. Then the tech told her to go ahead and drive it, that it is ok to drive.

I did not get any pictures, just done a bunch of research only to find that the oil cooler is the culprit. It had leaked from between the heads under the intake to the back of the engine, and down both sides of the back of the block. onto the skid plate then all over from there.
