Driver side door won't open from outside

    1999 jeep grand cherokee

    I have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee and for some reason the driver side door does not open from the outside if you use the the unlock button on the inside and quickly open it the door will open same with key what is the problem you have to do this everytime to open it on just this door

    Welcome! Have you removed the inner door panel? Inside you should be able to inspect the door latch mechanism whether the unlock button or exterior door release is triggered. Perhaps the actuators can no longer fully engage the latch mechanism or a lever or rod is worn, bent or debris might be found that's preventing full movement.
