Plug gap

    2001 jeep wrangler sport
    I've been having a misfire on my Jeep 2001 Wrangler I put it on the diagnostic it said second cylinder misfire what I pulled my plug just check them out and it look like that plug gap gauge was real tight just my question I have I'm not very mechanical on these things but does the gap sometimes if it's wrong cause a misfire and what is the proper gap thank you for the help

    How old are the plugs and wires? In need of replacing?

    You could also clear the code and move the injector or the spark plug/wire to a different cylinder and see if the misfire code follows it.

    The premium brands come pre-gapped but should be checked. 0.035 in for the 6 cyl for example.
